Summary
The style was more ground-breaking in its issue rather than its style.The artsts painted with an unfastened, random style. Quick dashing of the paint left individual brushstrokes and the paint was applied to the canvas thickly. Artists Goya, Velazquez, Manet and Hals were the greatest influence to Ashcan Painters.

The Ashcan School was a assembly of painters, founded in 1891 by artist, Robert Henri.Artists
William Glackens, George Luks, John Sloan, and George Bellows were members of the Ashcan School.
