Medieval art began in the 5th entury in Western Europe, made up from various art movements and periods including Gothic art and Byzantine art.
Gothic art was a type of medeval art that lasted about 200 years. It arose between the 1th century and the 16th centurry in Europe. By later on in the14th century, Gothic art had changed into a more natural style which continued until the late 15th century.
