AboutAlfred Sisley was born on the 30th of October, 1839, in Paris. His parents were both English, and he was renowned as the "English Impressionist". At the age of 18, Sisley was sent to London for an apprenticeship in business. While their, he was strongly influenced by artists Constable and Turner. When he returned to Paris in 1861, Sisley wanted to enter the studio of Charles Gleyre. He became very talented, making friends including Monet and renoir. |
