AboutCamille Pissarro was born on the 10th of July, 1830, on the island of St Thomas in the Caribbean. In his early years, he showed great talent with his drawings and when he moved to Paris in 1841, the owner of the boarding school he stayed in encouraged Pissarro to progress further with his drawings. At the age of 17, Pissarro was back at St Thomas. He soon became friends with Fritz Melbye, a Danish Painter. In 1852 Pissarro went to Paris where he studied in multiple Academic Institutions. |
