We had this painting commissioned by a Scottish customer who wanted a reproduction of the 1851 painting in their stately home, and what a fantastic result. This reproduction painting is of the finest quality and the customer was extremely pleased when they saw it for the first time.
Although the original was framed in a traditionally ornate gold frame, the customer chose something a little more contemporary from the Larson Juhl Prague collection. The colours compliment the painting without distracting from the detail in the stag.
Our qualified framers hand stretched the painting and made the custom frame to fit, and we were very happy with the finished result!
